Secret Stairs #25: Swan's Way, 1.5 miles, 369 steps.

The steep, zigzag-y streets twisting high above Silver Lake are dense with staircases, and each "neighborhood within the neighborhood" treats the hidden treasures differently. Today's group of steps, southwest of the reservoir, is obviously cared for, evidenced by the sign posted at the foot of the periwinkle blue, 77-step staircase that began our hike. More staircase art along the way, with steps deceptively challenging, and local dogs loud yet oh-so friendly. Interesting 1930s-1940s houses designed by famous architects drawn to the area. And why not? The views at the top take in the city in a near 360 sweep.
