Secret Stairs #13: Laveta Terrace, 2 miles, 236 steps.

Yesterday's thunder storm cleaned the view from the ocean to the Hollywood sign in the west, and across Chavez Ravine to the back end of Dodger Stadium in the east. From Echo Park's most elegant stairway (pictured above) to a pathway along the west end of Elysian Park, the air was scented by eucalyptus and pepper trees, our path through the park shaded by coast live oaks. Perfect hike for a hot and humid morning.
