Stair Trek Secret Mashup, 2.81 miles, @400 steps.

A real treat for Barbara and me—a group hike with Secret Stairs and Secret Walks author Charles Fleming, the man who mapped the trails and paths Barbara and I have followed since May 2015 (and more to come!) Today Fleming combined three hikes from his books, leading our group of @forty urban hikers along Echo Park Lake, up to the Carroll Street Queen Annes and Victorians, over to the historic Laveta Terrace staircase, and then back to Echo Park Lake across from Amy Semple McPherson's Angelus Temple. Thanks, Mr. Fleming, for today, and especially for charting the L.A. hikes that awe and delight us every single week.
